Starship visit

Starship visit

Members of the London Assembly Transport Committee visited Starship Technologies’ offices in London today (1 November) to find out more about the company’s delivery robots.

According to a statement published on the London Assembly website,  the purpose of the visit was to discover the answer to questions like:

  • What potential do delivery droids have to take freight traffic off our roads
  • How do droids sense people coming out of buildings and cars?
  • What safeguards are in place to ensure droids are safe in the pedestrian environment?
  • How do droids interact with customers receiving deliveries?
  • How long will a droid wait for a customer to collect its parcel?

As previously reported, Starship has taken part in delivery trials in the London borough of Greenwich.
