UPS announces environmental and sustainability grants

The UPS Foundation has announced it will award more than $2.6m in grants to nonprofit organizations focused on environmental initiatives.

The Foundation has selected iniatives that align with UPS’s sustainability goals to “increase its reliance on renewable energy sources and reduce its absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from global ground operations”.

In a statement issued yesterday (6 November), UPS said that recipients of the grants include: The World Resources Institute (WRI); The Nature Conservancy; and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF); DonorsChoose.org; Earth Day Network; Earthwatch; National Arbor Day Foundation; National Park Foundation; Student Conservation Association (SCA); and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
