DHL building new German distribution centre for Eaton

DHL Supply Chain has broken ground on a new distribution centre in Germany for its customer Eaton, the power management specialist.

In a statement issued yesterday (21 March), DHL Supply Chain said that he 35,000 square metre highly automated storage facility  in Rheinbach near Bonn, will be in operation from beginning of 2019.

Over the next few years, DHL will support Eaton’s European electrical business from three distribution centres in Germany, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. The new site in the UK began operating for Eaton at the beginning of 2018 and a modernization and expansion of the Czech site is currently in progress.
