Amazon Go expansion
Amazon Go stores could be coming soon to San Francisco and Chicago.
As previously reported, Amazon launched its cashier-less Go store in its home town Seattle last year and indicated that it planned to expand to more locations in the future.
This week, US media have picked up on postings on the Amazon jobs website inviting applications for Amazon Go Store Manager and Assistant Manager positions in both San Francisco and Chicago.
With the Amazon Go concept, technology tracks the items that shoppers are taking off the shelves and buying so they don’t have to go through the check-out process and they are charged directly through the Amazon Go app.
