Target reports 28% increase in digital sales

US-based retailer Target has reported that its digital sales increased by 28% in the first quarter (Q1) of 2018.

In a statement issued today (23 May), Target said that it “saw broad market share gains across its core merchandise categories” and its Q1 traffic growth of 3.7% was “the strongest quarterly performance in over 10 years”.

The company added that over the Q1 period it had “launched its new Drive-Up service in more than 250 stores, expanded Target Restock nationwide and rolled out same-day delivery from more than 700 stores, enabled by its recent acquisition of Shipt”.
