KEBA reports 31.5% revenue growth

KEBA Group has reported revenues of €253.6m for the year up to March 2018, up 31.5% on the previous year.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel yesterday (7 June), KEBA said: “Business growth during the past year resulted in a corresponding increase in the numbers of qualified personnel and contrary to the predominant shortage of specialists, the group was able to continue to attract experts to its ranks. At present, KEBA has a global workforce of around 1,130.”

Headquarted in Linz, Austria, KEBA has branches in 11 countries: Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Turkey, Italy, the Czech Republic, the USA, China, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

Companies in the post and parcel industry will probably know KEBA best for its KePol automated parcel terminals, but the group produces a wide array of technology solutions for many markets – from industrial and banking automation solutions to heating control systems, lottery terminals and advanced robotics.

The group is also involved in “electro mobility” (or charging for electric vehicles).  KEBA said that e-mobility was its “youngest business area”, but one that is “developing rapidly” as the group has been selling “sizeable quantities” of its charging “wallboxes”.

KEBA added: “There is strong demand for wallboxes for the charging of e-cars, which is reflected by the sales figures for the products, which are developed and manufactured in Linz. In fact, over 34,000 boxes were sold during the past financial year.”
