Omniva Management Board appoints new chairman

The Supervisory Board of Omniva (AS Eesti Post) has appointed Ansi Arumeel, Member of the Management Board , as the new Chairman of the Management Board.

Commenting on the appointment Bo Henriksson, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Omniva said: “Ansi has proven himself as a strong leader and a great manager. I believe that with him as Chairman, the company will achieve its goals.”

Ansi Arumeel began working in Omniva in 2006 as the development manager of logistics. Following that he managed the company’s logistics business and, since 2013, he has been a member of the management board.

Arumeel played an important part in implementing and establishing the parcel machine network, expanding Omniva’s business across the Baltics, growing the parcel business, starting the construction of the most modern logistics centre in the Baltic region, and achieving many other goals that are significant for the company. Before Omniva, Arumeel has worked in Silberauto and Schenker.

Arumeel has a Master’s degree in Transport and Logistics Management from the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, and a miniMBA in Strategic Management from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Transport Technology from the Tallinn University of Technology.

The open competition for Chairman of the Management Board of Omniva was announced in the end of August following the former Chairman being dismissed this spring.
