PARCELFORCE CUTS LOSES

Parcelforce Worldwide has cut operational losses by 40% from £98m to £59m in the first half of the year following the termination of uneconomic contract and continue job losses.

In the past year the firm has restructured including a change in focus to entirely handling express, time-guaranteed parcels for business customers.

The pace of moving to the planned level of owner-drivers is now behind schedule due to “the prevailing industrial relations climate”.
