AmazonFresh comes to Las Vegas

Amazon has expanded its AmazonFresh on-demand fresh produce delivery service to Las Vegas.

The service enables Amazon Prime members to order one- and two-hour deliveries of fresh produce, groceries and ‘everyday essentials’.

Prime members in the Las Vegas area can access AmazonFresh for $14.99 per month as an add-on to their Prime membership.

“We’re thrilled to introduce AmazonFresh to Prime members in Las Vegas,” said Stephenie Landry, Vice President, AmazonFresh and Prime Now. “Prime members tell us they want their stuff even faster. We’re happy to deliver on that ask and can’t wait for customers in Las Vegas to take advantage of one- and two-hour delivery from AmazonFresh.”

While Amazon is continuing to expand the AmazonFresh coverage, it is calling time another of its food delivery services, Amazon Restaurants. Launched in Seattle in 2015 and then rolled out to around 20 cities in the US and also London in the UK, Amazon Restaurants was a competitor to Uber Eats. But the service was closed down in London last year and the company has since announced that, as of 24 June, the Amazon Restaurants business will be discontinued in the US. Amazon also shuttered its workplace lunch delivery service, Daily Dish, earlier this month.
