Directorate Change

Christian Salvesen PLC (‘Christian Salvesen’ or the ‘Company’), the European
logistics company announces today that Edward Roderick has ceased to be a
director of Christian Salvesen and will be leaving the Company. A search for a
successor will begin and in the interim David Fish has assumed the role of
Executive Chairman.

The Group reiterates the Trading Statement made on 1st April 2004 and will be
announcing its preliminary results for the year to 31st March 2004 on 8th June
2004.
