SwipBox installs more than 150,000 parcel locker compartments in record year

SwipBox tripled its revenue in 2021 after delivering more than 10,000 parcel lockers. This can be seen in the latest annual report.

Financial highlights

  • SwipBox’s turnover has more than tripled from DKK 78 million in 2020 to DKK 242 million in 2021
  • SwipBox has achieved earnings of DKK 88 million
  • SwipBox has delivered more than 10,000 parcel lockers in 2021

Chairman of the Board of Directors Lars-Christian Brask believes the company’s success can be explained by a combination of a strong, visionary management team and a solid strategy: “We’ve sharpened our strategic focus and sold our shares in the Danish parcel locker network named Nærboks, allowing us to focus 100% on delivering parcel locker networks to our customers. The good result can be attributed to the management team and employees at SwipBox, who have consistently executed the strategy laid out,” he stated.

SwipBox’s success is first and foremost down to their new, market-leading Infinity parcel locker, which runs on a battery and requires neither Wi-Fi nor mobile data connection. This means that the parcel locker can be installed in less than five minutes, enabling extremely flexible networks. SwipBox no doubt also profits from the increase in e-commerce, for which SwipBox’s Infinity parcel lockers are particularly suitable.

Success is a team effort

CEO Jens Rom emphasises that this is just the beginning of the SwipBox journey. “We are fortunate to have extremely visionary owners, whose confidence in our long-term strategy has now paid off,” stated Jens Rom. “But it doesn’t end here – we’ve only just begun,” he exclaimed.

With the goal of 10,000 parcel lockers delivered in 2021 surpassed already at the beginning of December, all employees were rewarded with a sizeable end-of-year bonus. Because, as Jens Rom explained: “What we have achieved has been a true team effort and that deserves rewarding.”

Looking into continued growth in 2022

2022 is looking to become yet another busy year for SwipBox. The company has set itself new, ambitious goals that involve expansion of existing networks and establishing a presence in new countries.

SwipBox is focused on creating the world’s best user experience for delivering and picking up parcels using parcel lockers. Through a combination of intuitive network management software and hassle-free, app-operated parcel lockers, SwipBox delivers maximum convenience to logistics providers, retailers and end users alike.

The company is headquartered in Denmark and has additional offices in Pakistan, Poland and Australia. Together with partners, SwipBox always strives to optimise their solutions to reduce the carbon footprint in the first and last mile area.
