Helthjem rolls out 1,500 SwipBox parcel lockers in Norway

In collaboration with, among others, Norgesgruppen and Bane NOR, Helthjem is rolling out new lockers across the entire country.

“Our main focus is to be the best in the country at home delivery. We have a unique network, and home delivery is what the majority of Norwegians want. At the same time, we see a need among customers for greater flexibility,” says Anders Lunde Angen, CEO of Helthjem.

After several years of strong growth, Helthjem is now Norway’s largest privately owned parcel company. More than 20 million e-commerce parcels are delivered annually to people across the country, and last year the Helthjem network generated over two billion NOK in revenue.
“The parcel lockers will be a perfect addition for those who want more control over when they pick up their parcels,” says Lunde Angen.

With partners such as Norgesgruppen, Circle K and Bane NOR, the lockers will be placed in locations people visit as part of their daily routines. “These agreements allow us to place lockers at train stations, kiosks and grocery stores across the country.”

New figures
Just over 70% of Helthjem’s customers prefer having parcels delivered to their doorstep. At the same time, several customer surveys show that one in four Norwegians wants greater flexibility in parcel delivery.

That is why 1,500 parcel lockers have been purchased and will now be rolled out nationwide over a short period of time.

“We are starting in Ålesund and then moving from place to place, rolling out lockers both in urban areas and in rural districts. We will also prioritise lockers in areas where many people currently live far from the nearest parcel pickup point,” says the CEO.
The lockers are supplied by SwipBox, one of Europe’s largest providers of self-service parcel lockers.
