Kuehne + Nagel named Best Fast Moving Consumer Goods Logistics Provider in Singapore by Frost & Sullivan

Kuehne + Nagel Pte Ltd has been named Best Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Logistics Service Provider in Singapore by Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting company.

The award was conferred to Kuehne + Nagel Singapore recently at the 2006 Frost & Sullivan ASEAN 4 Logistics Awards based on a Voice of the Customer research, which was officiated by Mr. Ko Kheng Hwa, Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board.

Frost & Sullivan Director of Transportation, Asia Pacific Kavan Mukhtyar says Kuehne + Nagel has emerged as the winner among the logistics service providers in the Singaporean FMCG sector, as it secured the highest ratings for its service performance and capability from its own customers in the sector.

“Kuehne Nagel has been rated very highly by its customers on performance related to industry expertise, range and quality of services, ability of customizing the services, and price. The company has also achieved high ratings from its customers on performance related to security of goods, commitment to customer needs, and providing visibility to supply chain process,” he adds.

Mr. Mukhtyar also says that FMCG industry sector is one of the key contributing sectors for Kuehne + Nagel, adding that the company offers services for manufacturers and marketers in this sector, covering all aspects of logistics planning, control and execution, from point of origin to consumption.

He says that the company’s solutions are built on addressing the fundamental logistics requirements of the FMCG industry – managing perishable products, reducing damage and theft rates and maintaining temperature control throughout the supply chain process.

Mr. Mukhtyar says that Kuehne + Nagel offers complete logistics solutions to the FMCG industry by working closely with the customer to find the optimum solution in terms of cost effectiveness, service level requirements and feasibility. These include solutions and value-added services that reduce inventory and associated costs for customers.

Mr. Mukhtyar says that end-users surveyed also recognized Kuehne + Nagel for optimizing their logistics costs and improving the security standards of goods.
