TNT Post monopoly charge

PTT Post, part of TNT Post in The Netherlands, is abusing its position as manager of post office boxes, according to its competitor, Mail Merge.

Competitor postal companies can only deliver post destined for post offices boxes under strict conditions.

Mail Merge is today lodging a complaint with the Dutch postal market regulator, Opta

The Dutch Post Office Act states that TPG must provide other suppliers of mail carriage with access to the post office boxes on an equal basis. Mail Merge says that TPG is obstructing access to the post office boxes with a great many conditions, amounting to unfair competition.
