DHL Supply Chain has been reappointed to manage Levi Strauss & Co.’s European distribution centre in Belgium for a further three-year period.

At the regional distribution centre (RDC) in Bornem, the 100-strong DHL team stores and distributes approximately 9,000 different Levi’s products on behalf of LS&CO for Benelux, France, Scandinavia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As well as warehousing and distribution, DHL provides additional services such as price tagging, labelling, bagging, and quality checks.

“Over the last few years we have successfully implemented a number of significant projects for LS&CO., using our industry and supply chain expertise. Our proactive approach to continuous improvement, and our commitment to going that bit further, has helped LS&CO. meet its European distribution needs,” said Eduard Molkenboer, managing director for DHL Supply Chain in Belgium.

The RDC has been operational since 2003, initially storing and distributing all orders for the French and Benelux markets. As various integration projects were successfully concluded over the last few years, additional markets were integrated in the RDC.

DHL Supply Chain also operates a second regional distribution centre in LS&CO’s European distribution network, in Pohorelice near Brno, Czech Republic, covering 24 countries across Europe.
