Royal Mail's snail mail needs a big improvement

ON MAY 9, I sent out four letters, each containing a cheque. Within a matter of
days it became apparent that they had gone astray. Last week, on June 12, I was informed that two of these original letters had been received, both postmarked for June 9. On the other side of the coin, my wife sent an airmail letter to the Cayman Islands at roughly the same time in May and it was received within four days. Obviously that camel was far faster than mine.
