DHL plane makes emergency landing on frozen lake

A DHL cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing on a frozen lake in Estonia on Thursday It landed on the Lake Ulemiste just outside the country’s capital, Tallinn, spilling 1.5 tons of fuel in the lake, which has risked polluting the city’s drinking water.

Six crew members were on-board, with one suffering from minor injuries.

Antonov AN26 turboprop landed on Lake Ulemiste after experiencing landing gear and engine problems.

The DHL-chartered plane, owned by Exin Co. Ltd, was due to fly between Tallinn and Helsinki.
