Skillweb experiences record-breaking 2010

UK-based Skillweb has announced that 2010 was a record year for the company. The organisation said it processed more than 200m transactions through its mobile communications system – used by delivery, supply chain, service management and healthcare companies.

This equates to a 33% overall increase in transactions.

Furthermore, Skillweb said it has experienced strong domestic growth combined with expansion into new international marketplaces such as Southeast Asia.

Skillweb also revealed it has achieved average systems availability of more than 99.96%, with a large proportion of customers experiencing 100% availability throughout the whole of 2010.

Paul Ridden, managing director of Skillweb, said: “The challenging trading conditions have meant that many delivery companies are looking for effective, affordable and reliable tracking solutions that can deliver measurable efficiency savings and performance benefits.

“Skillweb has invested heavily in expanding its tracking capabilities to keep pace with the changing needs of post and parcel operators in the UK and international marketplaces.”
