New Istanbul office for World Courier
World Courier has strengthened its presence in the Turkish market by opening an office in Istanbul. The operator aims to provide the pharmaceutical industry with “the high quality GxP-compliant logistical services and temperature-controlled expertise needed to conduct successful clinical trials in that country”.
Klaus Hachmann, regional director for World Courier’s Nordic, Central and Eastern Europe group, said: “Turkey offers great potential for pharmaceutical companies, providing they are able to navigate the Ministry of Health’s rigorous compliancy regulations.
“World Courier has the knowledge, the network and the expertise to offer consistently reliable, high-quality temperature-controlled transport to the rapidly growing number of in-country investigator sites.”
According to the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), more than 250 trials are currently under way in Turkey, with another 200 studies in the patient recruitment phase.
World Courier offers temperature-controlled transport and logistics to all major cities in Turkey.
