TNT leads green strategy in Milan

TNT, Iveco and Gucci are joining forces in Milan to pilot an environmental friendly city logistics concept called TNT High Street. The project’s aim is to group pick ups and deliveries (PUD) for Gucci shops in Milan’s reputed fashion quadrangle.

These PUD’s are usually carried out by different vehicles at different times during the day.

Iveco provides two Ecodaily electric vans which do the zero emission deliveries.

This pilot is part of TNT’s City Logistics global initiative, which brings smart zero emission solutions to TNT’s customers in cities.

Under this initiative, five separate supply chain solutions are being piloted in cities across Europe, with the objective of reducing inner-city emissions, daytime noise and congestion by curbing vehicle movements, and optimising costs.
