FedEx improves connectivity in Taiwan
FedEx Express has extended cut-off times for selected services in Taiwan in a bid to enhance connectivity across the region. Outbound cut-off times for FedEx International Priority (IP) and FedEx International Economy (IE) services will be extended to as late as 5pm for same-day uplift in selected areas across the south of the country.
FedEx said the service enhancement will benefit customers from Long Gin, Sa Lu, Wu Chu, Chin Suei in Taichung City, Niaosong Township in Kaohsiung City, and Ping Tung Export Processing Zone.
FedEx Taiwan managing director Michael Chu said: “FedEx is positive about Taiwan and strives to provide the most flexible and convenient express transportation services to our customers here.
“The enhancement to our service in Southern Taiwan is a testament to our commitment to support local businesses.”
The move will allow local businesses more efficient, competitive access to international markets.
Customers in Sin Yin and Ma Dou will also benefit from improved service. Outbound packages from these areas are now able to depart Taiwan on a same-day flight.
The service extension is the latest move by FedEx to improve operations across Asia. Last week, Post&Parcel reported that FedEx Express is to build a new hub in Singapore.
