New TNT depot

A new investment of £4.3 million at Edinburgh Airport by TNT Express Services represents the company’s single biggest investment in Scotland. The depot provides local businesses with a focal point for business mail and express parcel delivery services and serves companies throughout Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth and Fife. The same aircraft retums in the early hours of the moming carrying imported goods for delivery throughout Scotland.
With 113 employees and 44 vehicles TNT Edinburgh handles more than 12,000 packages a week to nationwide and worldwide destinations. The new 30,OOOsq ft site in Turnhouse Road includes extensive open-plan offices, plus a 50-bay warehouse with two loading ramps for air freight and systems incorporating the latest parcel tracing technology. The facility is
expected to exceed a turnover of £9 million in the first year of operation.
