Safeway has strengthened its relationship with logistics operator Wincanton, with the award of a new contract to handle transport operations at the supermarket retailers Swindon distribution centre. Under the new contract, 48 staff transferred to Wincanton, bringing the number of Wincanton employees involved in the companys Safeway business portfolio to 740.
