KMUK launches ecommerce platform to broaden distribution offering
UK-based mail packet and parcel distribution specialist Keymail UK Ltd (KMUK) has launched a new ecommerce platform offering low-cost consumer goods. The company headquartered close to Heathrow Airport has partnered with manufacturers and other companies in China and the Far East over the last two years to develop a new route into the UK for their products.
Its new portal at www.goofybuy.com will particularly aim for those UK consumers looking for affordable non-branded gadgets and accessories for electronic products including mobile phones and computers.
KMUK will ship items directly into the UK and use its carrier partners including Royal Mail, Yodel and Parcelforce for the “last mile” delivery of items from its warehouse to consumers.
Tapping into the low-cost end of the market, KMUK is offering free shipping on all orders, although buyers are responsible for import duties where they exist.

Tubbs Rooprah, the KMUK managing director told Post&Parcel today that his company had been looking to expand its involvement in the booming ecommerce market by gaining a stronger relationship with manufacturers and fulfillment companies.
In particular, he said it was keen to highlight its services for not only the “back end” of ecommerce distribution, but the full “front end” of engaging with consumers and shipping items the last mile.
“The emerging markets within logistics and online sales is growing from strength to strength, and we aim to embrace this in the coming few years,” he said.
“Our partnerships and associations in these fields around the world will benefit from diversity and www.goofybuy.com will aim to provide us with what our customers need in addition to all our core business operations at KMUK,” added Rooprah.
After launching the new portal on Friday, Rooprah said the company would now be running a targeted marketing campaign to grow awareness for the website within key consumer groups including colleges and universities, home-based buyers and gadget-hungry corporate executives.
