UPS expands early morning delivery coverage into the U.S. again

For the second time this year, UPS® (NYSE: UPS) expanded its coverage area for U.S. early morning deliveries. The company added another 766 UPS Worldwide Express Plus® postal codes in the third quarter, after adding more than 400 earlier this year. “Logistics is a critical enabler of international trade and commerce for any economy. As a strategic logistics partner for Asian businesses across vertical industries including healthcare, high-tech and industrial automotive, UPS is committed to providing innovative and more efficient solutions for our customers,” said Nando Cesarone, president, UPS Asia Pacific. “This enhancement is a response to our customers’ needs in an evolving global trade environment, and demonstrates our continuous investments into improving our network and capabilities so that they gain a much needed competitive advantage to achieve business success.”

UPS Worldwide Express Plus is the earliest morning delivery service from UPS, guaranteeing delivery to more than 87 percent of U.S. businesses, and available from more than 25 countries worldwide. In Asia Pacific, these countries include Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Examples of industries that rely upon early morning deliveries include healthcare companies such as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers; professional service companies, like legal and financial firms, that depend on urgent documents; manufacturers of parts that are needed for urgent repairs; and high tech companies that need to repair mobile devices rapidly so their customers don’t lose connectivity.
