PostNL will reportedly offer permanent positions to some freelance staff

PostNL will offer permanent jobs to some of its freelance parcel delivery staff, according to local reports. The company has faced criticism from the unions over the status of its 1,000+ freelancers.

“We are not blind to the debate currently taking place,” the company’s Director for packages, Yme Pasma, reportedly told the Netherlands Radio 1 News.

“There are the real entrepreneurs who can negotiate with us and there are those who are entrepreneurs because they have no other choice… If that second group is in trouble because of changes in the law, we have to do something for them.”
