Europa Air & Sea reports “soaring” volumes

Europa Air & Sea – a division of logistics operator, Europa Worldwide Group – has announced “soaring” volumes amid a busy period of investment and growth in the division. Following a company restructure in July 2014, Europa has seen a significant growth in its air freight and sea freight import volumes, predominantly out of North America and Asia where they have registered a combined 17% growth compared to the same period in 2014.

The news comes ahead of Europa’s attendance at tomorrow’s (Tuesday, 30 June) Mail and Express Delivery Show at the Olympia Conference Centre in London. The London show, organized by Post&Parcel’s publisher Triangle Management Services, is the latest in the worldwide event series which has seen Europa join a leading line up of international exhibitors in Malaysia and Miami. London’s conference will focus on Investing in Delivery and will explore issues such as changing market demands in the mail and express sector, the competitive business environment, user experience and service innovation.

Europa Air & Sea is one of four operating divisions for Europa Worldwide Group’s specialist services – including Europa Road, Europa Warehouse and Europa Showfreight.

Angus Hind, Director of Europa Air & Sea, said: “This is a really exciting time for Europa Air & Sea. We have realised our ambition of providing a dedicated service with a committed team who have the right expertise. We are more visible and seeing this side of the business expand exponentially because of it. Launching as a standalone business unit has enabled us to invest in our offering, build our credibility and generate further business within our division like never before. Overall Europa’s customers can also benefit from a more complete supply chain solution. We now see Europa Road customers come to us for their other supply chain requirements as a result of the high level of service they have received.”

This year’s growth follows a 65% growth in volume at Europa Air & Sea’s Hong Kong operation during the final quarter of 2014. As part of its investment in the Air & Sea division and to help meet rising demand, Europa recently announced the expansion of its Hong Kong operation, moving to a new larger office in the prestigious Metroplaza Towers. To further develop these business opportunities in the East, Europa has joined the Far East Transport Association (FETA).
