Amazon.com has revealed plans to open a 500,000-square-foot fulfilment centre in Joliet, Illinois. The site, which will create 1,000 full-time jobs when it opens, will be the company’s first in the state.
Staff at the Joliet fulfilment centre will process smaller items, such as books, electronics and consumer goods.
