Korea Post Begins One-Day Guaranteed Delivery Service to HK

SEOUL, Sept 18 Asia Pulse – Korea Post began a one-day or less guaranteed parcel delivery service to Hong Kong from Monday at 24 post offices in Seoul, the agency said Wednesday.
The special postal service insures parcels are delivered within a day and if parcels are not delivered within the fixed time Korea Post refunds postal charges for the service.

This is the third official operation of such a service after Japan and Singapore.

Parcels qualifying the service are limited to papers weighing 30 kilograms or less. Papers sent to Hong Kong in the morning will arrive with recipients the next morning.

Postal charges for the service per parcel are the existing international speed post service charges plus along with 6,000 won (US$4.6) of supplement.

Korea Post has offered information on whether parcels have been delivered to senders after the delivery service and they can also confirm such information on the Internet.
