Danish state to sell 25 pct stake in PostDanmark during 2003

The ministries of finance and traffic have initiated a research group to report by year-end on the sale of a 25 pct stake in national postal services PostDanmark during 2003, daily Boersen reported, citing head of department at the traffic ministry, Michael Birk.

“….the aim is to have the shares sold no later than autumn, 2003,” Birk was quoted as saying.

Birk also said it is to early to evaluate how much the state will receive for the PostDanmark shares but that he expects very high buying interest on the basis of substantial preliminary interest, the newspaper reported.

“Since the government announced it was to sell 25 pct of the shares we have received several approaches from investors both at home and abroad,” said Birk to Boersen.
