New president for UPS Canada
Christoph Atz has been appointed as the president of UPS Canada. He has followed on from Michael Tierney, who has retired from the company. Tierney began his career at UPS in 1981 and served as president of UPS Canada since 2007.
Both organizational changes became effective on 1 January.
Atz, who was previously managing director of UPS Spain and Portugal, becomes the 8th president in the company’s 40-year history in Canada. He has been with UPS since 1992.

I look forward to working with the talented team in Canada to build on the legacy of success,” said Atz. “Canadian products and business leaders are known globally for their quality, leadership and humanitarianism. UPS will continue to focus on supporting them with exceptional service, products and community outreach.”
Under Tierney’s leadership, UPS Canada has expanded operations and brand presence across Canada. Between 2012 and 2014, UPS Canada opened 11 new centres to serve a growing customer base in Atlantic Canada and British Columbia while expanding other centres across the country.
