Tritax buys Argos national distribution centre

Tritax Big Box has bought the Argos national distribution centre at Barton Business Park, Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire for £74.65m. The distribution centre, which is currently let to Argos with an unexpired lease term of approximately 12 years, comprises 653,670 sq ft, arranged over c. 26 acres, providing a site cover of approximately 56%.

As previously reported, Home Retail Group, the parent company of Argos, is currently the subject of a firm-offer bid from Sainsbury’s
