Target takes aim at sameday parcels

Target Express this week announced details of its new Sameday parcels service that uses National Express for the trunk haul. The budget price is a flat rate of £69 anywhere in the UK, provided that collection and delivery are within 25 miles of a coach drop point.
Target is the first parcels firm to break the decade-old exclusive agreement between Natinal Express and TNT.
Target also hs ambitious growth plans for direct-vehicle Sameday work. It has just gained a national contract with BSL, a multi-site engineering group, and has invested in Freedom software from UK agent Professional IT.
