Stralfors plans to sell non-Nordic subsidiaries

PostNord has announced that Stralfors intends to sell its subsidiaries in the UK, Poland and France. In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (5 July), PostNord explained that the decision was made in 2015 to integrate Stralfors into the PostNord Group – and selling Stralfors’ subsidiaries outside the Nordic countries is part of that process.

The PostNord statement added that Stralfors has entered into an agreement with Aurelius Wachstumskapital over its subsidiaries in the UK and Poland. Stralfors has also spoken with the same company and its partner Coliseum regarding a potential divestment of its French subsidiary, and Coliseum has made an offer.

Commenting on the divestment plans, Stralfors CEO Annemarie Gardshol said: “PostNord offers communications and logistics solutions to, from and within the Nordic region and Stralfors aims to be the leading provider of channel-independent customer communication solutions in the Nordics. This means that we will focus on our business in the Nordic region and our subsidiaries in the UK, Poland and France will get much better conditions to develop with a new owner.”

Carsten Adel-Hadi, CEO of Aurelius Wachstumskapital, said: “We are happy that Stralfors’ has chosen us as the new owner for its operation in Poland and the UK. Together with the management and the employees we will build on the existing business model and customers and develop new activities.”

Collectively, the Stralfors subsidiaries in France, Poland and UK employ about 400 people.
