EC unveils Deliver in Europe platform

EC unveils Deliver in Europe platform

The European Commission (EC) is promoting an online platform, called Deliver in Europe, which will give e-retailers free access to information about delivery companies. The Deliver in Europe platform is part of the EC’s drive to promote more transparency in cross-border deliveries – and thereby boost the European e-commerce sector.

Irmfried Schwimann, the EC Deputy Director General at DG GROW, presented the Deliver in Europe platform at the Deliver One conference which took place in Luxembourg this week.

The EC is currently encouraging logistics companies to sign up to the platform, in order to populate the database. In the next phase – which should begin in a few weeks- the search engine will become generally available.
