Amazon Business launches in UK

Amazon has launched its Amazon Business service in the UK. The service is designed for sellers looking to reach business customers – from small businesses to large multi-national organisations, as well as institutional buyers like universities, hospitals and non-profits.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Amazon said Amazon Business (www.amazon.co.uk/business) offers a range of features aim to help drive sales to businesses including:

  • Sellers can now display VAT-exclusive prices to business customers and provide VAT invoices for all customers by enrolling in the free VAT Calculation Service
  • Sellers can choose to make products available for sale to business customers only
  • Amazon Business products using Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) are eligible for free one-day delivery to all business customers on qualified orders of £30 or more.

Amazon Business first launched in the US in April 2015, and expanded to Germany in December 2016.
