Rhenus launches partnership with Canada’s ICECORP
Rhenus UK recently marked the loading of its first consolidated container to Toronto. The shipment followed on from the company’s new partnership with Canadian logistics provider ICECORP.
With a network of nine facilities across Canada, ICECORP will serve as an official strategic partner for Rhenus in North America.
The service to Toronto, via Liverpool and Halifax, Nova Scotia, takes 10 days. Once in Toronto, the goods are cleared and distributed across Canada via ICECORP’s industry-leading distribution network.
With sites in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, ICECORP’s overland network also provides links to key US locations including Chicago and Los Angeles.
The full-suite of services offered by ICECORP includes warehousing and distribution, customs brokerage, events and global project logistics and drop shipping. ICECORP also supplies a number of niche services, such as a logistics service for trade shows, consumer shows, conventions and conferences.
Speaking of the new service, David Williams, managing director of Rhenus UK, said: “Our new partnership with ICECORP marks a very important milestone for Rhenus’ operations in North America. The success of establishing the partnership in a relatively short timeframe, and of the first departure, is a real testament to the hard work and dedication of both the Rhenus and ICECORP teams.
