GLS Ireland introduces new returns service

GLS Ireland has announced the introduction of its new “ShopReturnService”. The service, which will allow online shoppers to return their items to a retailer via GLS ParcelShops, is now available for nationwide returns in Ireland. GLS also returns items to mail order companies beyond country borders between Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Poland.

“Online retail is becoming more and more important for Irish companies as a national and international sales channel,” said Andreas Rickert, Managing Director of GLS Ireland. “At the same time, online shoppers expect convenient returns, regardless of whether they shop in Ireland or Poland. The ShopReturnService boosts their satisfaction and helps companies to exploit the significant growth potential in e-commerce.”

If senders wish to offer the ShopReturnService to their customers, they enclose a returns label with the goods ordered. They can also email a download link or PDF to online shoppers on request.

In Ireland, consumers have access to more than 180 drop-off points for returns in the form of GLS ParcelShops. These service points, where parcels can also be dispatched and collected, are integrated in various different kinds of shops (shop-in-shop system). Most

There are currently more than 180 GLS ParcelShops in Ireland.
