Shippo secures $20m funding

Shippo, the US-based e-commerce shipping platform, has revealed that it has closed a $20m Series B round of financing.

The funding round was led by led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Union Square Ventures, SoftTech VC, VersionOne Ventures, and 500 Startups. It took place earlier this year, but Shippo choose to keep it under wraps until it issued a statement today (31 October).

Shippo said that the round brings the company’s total funding to $29m.

The company said that it now has more than 15,000 customers including eBay, Tuft & Needle, GOAT, Ipsy, Loot Crate and Marley Spoon by Martha Stewart.

Laura Behrens Wu, chief executive, and co-founder of Shippo, said: “This funding will help us deliver more innovative solutions and bottom-line growth to our customers who want to ship both domestically and internationally.”
