Egyptian National Post Organisation & United Nations Development Programme launch a modernization initiative
The Egyptian National Postal Organisation is undergoing an aggressive plan for transformation, to formulate it into a more customer-oriented business. This project will help to institutionalise a modernization Unit in the ENPO which will help augment its current know-how and expertise.
The Modernization Unit will initially support ongoing efforts to restructure some of ENPO’s services, enhance its plans, support in modern management practices and train staff. The ultimate objective of the unit is to help ENPO provide more efficient and reliable financial and postal services with a special focus on the parcel service.
The ENPO, established over 150 years ago, has an independent Board of Directors supported by a progressive law. It operates under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. ENPO is considered the largest service-oriented organization in Egypt, with more than 3400 offices spread nationwide. ENPO offers postal as well as financial services.
Dr. Ali El :Moselhy, Chairman of ENPO and Ms Sophie de Caen, UNDP Resident Representative, signed the Agreement.
