UK Lynx Mail appoint new general manager
Richard Johnson has been appointed General Manager of the new Lynx Mail division in the UK, based in Feltham, Middlesex.
Richard has over 15 years senior management experience in the transport and logistics sector having held positions in the mail, express and logistics industries. He has previously worked for one of the largest international freight forwarders and global integrators.
During the last nine years in his role as a consultant, Richard has offered marketing, sales, strategy and business development services to a variety of clients selling international mail, parcel, express, freight and fulfillment services, including a large consolidator in the International Mail Business.
Richard has built up considerable expertise in the international environment, especially in Europe and the USA with a focus on producing new business and building long term relationships and alliances with suppliers and customers.
Within his new role Richard has responsibility for the division’s products which includes sales, operations, vendors and customer service. His remit is to develop the division’s product range, enhance service levels, ensure the division offers very competitive prices and win new business.
Commenting on his new role with Lynx Mail Richard said: “Lynx is a very strong brand that is associated with quality and is a company with an excellent standing in the marketplace. Lynx has a loyal client base but we also have the opportunity to significantly develop the product range and win new business.
“To achieve this I will be working with the Lynx sales force, providing practical training where necessary to increase their knowledge of our offering and the needs of the marketplace. This will ensure that we receive the maximum efficiencies from our internal systems and the new tracking system which is due to be introduced early in the New Year is working efficiently. The potential of the company is enormous and I am very excited by the challenge.”
Richard is married with three children and lives in Walton on Thames, Surrey. He lists his hobbies as international travel, films, music and socialising.
