Correos y Telegrafos, the Spanish postal service, is considering a possible purchase of a courier company with the aim of gaining market share in the sector. Correos recently launched courier subsidiary Chronoexpress and group chairman Alberto Nunez announced yesterday that French counterpart La Poste is to take a minority stake in the new venture.

PNL was formed by the Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish post offices but today it was announced that Post Sweden – following Finland – is leaving the group from January next year.
