FedEx ranked Top Express Brand in China

FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp and the world’s largest express transportation company, is the Number One Express Delivery Brand in China. It is also one of the overall Top 10 Executive Brands in China, according to a survey conducted by a leading management magazine, Chief Executive China. In a statement here today, FedEx said the survey results showed that 44 percent of the respondents named it the most-admired brand in the express delivery services category. Among respondents who use express delivery services, 96 percent said they are current users of express delivery services and 95 percent said they would use the service in the coming 12 months, it said. Now in its second year, the survey included 19 product categories regularly used by executives in China. The results were based on a group of measurements including brand admiration, brand advantage, brand market share, brand preference, brand vitality and relevance to China’s business executives.

DHL Global Forwarding opens USD 3 million Logistics Facility at Cengkareng

DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight arm of DHL, today reaffirmed its long-term commitment in Indonesia with the opening of a USD 3 million state-of-the-art facility at Soewarna Business Park in Cengkareng, Jakarta.
The new 6,000-square meter facility will consolidate DHL Global Forwarding’s Jakarta logistics, office and administration operations into a single location, becoming DHL Global Forwarding’s largest office and logistics complex in Indonesia. The new facility complements DHL Global Forwarding’s existing network of seven offices and warehouses in Indonesia, including the recently opened logistics centers in Sunter and Balikpapan.
Located just minutes away from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and less than 30 minutes from Tanjung Priok port, the new facility will provide a considerable time-to-market competitive advantage, especially for customers in the fast-moving consumer goods, electronics, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications industries.

DHL Qatar named Best Agent of British Airways World Cargo

DHL Qatar, part of the international express and logistics solutions provider DHL, was awarded the Best Agent prize of the British Airways World Cargo division.

The award reflects DHL Qatar’s contribution to the growth of the commercial exchange between Qatar and the UK.

DHL Qatar recently launched an expansion investment plan worth 10 mln riyals (USD 2.75 mln/2.15 mln euro), aimed at widening its outlet network and innovating its express services.

Time Definite, which provides door-to-door delivery by an appointed time, is the most popular service among Qatari residents, the company said.

DHL (www.dhl.com), fully owned by Deutsche Post World Net since 2002, opened its first office in Qatar in 1979. At present, DHL Qatar employs 97 people and operates more than 25 trucks.
