Emirates Post launches 'Direct2Door' parcel service to five Asian countries

The Emirates Post launched ‘Direct2Door’ parcel service to five Asian countries on Sunday. The service is backed by a money-back guarantee and track-and-trace facility and covers India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. “We have partnered with reputed courier companies in the five countries to deliver parcels or documents directly to homes and offices,” said Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post. The service offers delivery of personal packages of up to 30 kg in less than 10 days. It ensures delivery of documents and parcels in three days.

Emirates Post and Iran Post to boost collaboration in IT, money transfer, parcel and mail hub services

Emirates Post and Iran Post have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that focuses on increased cooperation in IT, money transfer, parcel delivery and mail hub services. The MoU was signed by Mr. Mohammed Hassan Mohebiyan, Chairman of the Board & Managing Director, Iran Post, and Mr. Abdulla Al Daboos, Director General, Emirates Post, in Tehran. A separate MoU was signed with Mr. Mahmoud Hassan Zadeh, CEO and Chairman of the Board, Post Bank of Iran, to promote money transfer between the two countries.

Emirates Post declares record net profit of Dhs. 133 million for 2005

Emirates Post Corporation today announced record net profit of Dhs. 133 million for the year 2005, an increase of 6 per cent over the previous year. Announcing the financial results at a press conference in Dubai, Mr. Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post, said the corporation is aiming for a 6 per cent increase in net profit in 2006. A budget of more than Dhs. 109 million has been allocated for new projects. Mr. Al Daboos said Emirates Post had not only succeeded in raising the bar on services, but also added a host of non-postal services and made moves towards further diversification, as part of a larger goal of turning Emirates Post into a holding company that will ultimately control various business units.

Emirates Post signs Dh14 million contract to install advanced mail sorting machines

Emirates Post will increase its sorting capacity by 10 times after the installation of new advanced sorting machines, as part of new measures to cope with rising mail volumes. The machines will be installed at a new sorting building that will be constructed in Ramool. A Dh. 14 million contract was signed between Emirates Post and NEC Corporation for the supply and installation of two sorting machines
