Emirates Satellite Post Offices launched

Emirates Post has launched a single counter postal service – manned by one person – in crowded districts to meet growing demands, said Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post.
Speaking to Gulf News, Daboos said the service has been initiated as part of efforts by Emirates Post to provide greater convenience to the public.
“The service is known as Satellite Post Offices comprising just one counter. They are established in market places where space is limited, in order to have a full-fledged post office.

Emirates Post offers new speed service

As a result of its strategic business alliance with DHL, Emirates Post has launched International Express services to its customers for speedy shipping of parcels and goods to 120,000 destinations in over 220 countries.
Initially, the service, which will be on DHL airway bills, will be available at Emirates Post’s outlets in Karama and Jumeirah in Dubai and main offices in Sharjah and Ajman. Phase two will see the introduction of its service to the rest of its offices in the UAE.Customers utilising this service will be entitled to send a free 500 gram document anywhere in the world for every five shipments sent through International Express.

Emirates Post and DHL tie up to launch new service

Emirates Post has entered into a strategic business alliance with DHL to launch International Express. The move is aimed at improving the speed and reach of the postal service.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Daboos, director-general of Emirates Post, said this was a long-term plan and more innovative products and services could be expected.
The move will enable DHL to expand reach through Emirates Post’s extensive UAE network, while giving Emirates Post access to the DHL organisation, which links 120,000 destinations in more than 220 countries.

Emirates Post net exceeds Dh97M

Emirates Post has made a profit exceeding Dh97 million in 2001. This was revealed yesterday by Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, UAE Minister for Communications and Chairman of Emirates Post.
Explaining that the figures testified to the success of the new policies of the corporation and the vision of the people behind it, Al Tayer said, “The net profit of Dh97 million achieved by the corporation at the end of 2001 represented a 10 per cent increase over 2000.
