Deutsche Post acquires Wegener share in Interlanden

Deutsche Post AG has acquired the remaining thirty percent share in Interlanden from Koninklijke Wegener NV. This transaction ties in with the expectations that were expressed when Wegener sold seventy percent of Interlanden to Deutsche Post in July 2002. Interlanden is one of the most important players in the field of distributing unaddressed advertising materials in the Netherlands.

Competition on the Dutch mail market formalised

Today sees the official start of operations by Selekt Mail Nederland. At the beginning of July this year, shareholders Deutsche Post and Dutch publisher Wegener announced plans to found a joint venture.

They were merging the addressed mail services provided by both companies at that time. The competition authorities have now given their approval and Selekt Mail Nederland is now able to start fulfilling its ambitions.
