Uruguayan Post to Offer e-Services

Uruguay’s postal service plans to create a website offering goods and services, as well as an Internet access point at its main branch in each provincial capital, Uruguayan daily El Observador reported. The project will benefit Uruguayans from the country’s interior, who don’t have the opportunity to shop in the capital Montevideo, as well as those without access to computers and credit cards, postal service VP Gustavo Osta said.

Netto and DFDS get together

Netto, the Denmark-based international discount supermarket, has awarded a three-year contract for the UK delivery of frozen, chilled and ambient products to DFDS Logistics.
DFDS Logistics will make deliveries on a seven day, 24hour cycle to the 50 stores in Netto’s northern region (covering Yorkshire, Humberside, Lincolnshire and the North Midlands), using dedicated dual compartment, multi-temperature vehicles and trailers. All vehicles are being used for multi-drop operations, throughout the day and night.
