TPG fills logistics strategic gap in the Nordics with DSV A/S joint venture
2 May 2002 TPG has bought a 50% stake in DFDS transport logistics business in Scandinavia, DSV A/s. DSV A/s has a turnover of €110m and 700 staff and provides logistics services throughout Scandinavia in the FMCG automotive and Hi-tech business areas. The price for the 50% was 271m dkr.

ALL (America Latina Logistica-Delara) and TNT Logistics were chosen by the Brazilian subsidiary of Ford to perform the transfer of parts and components destinated for the company’ new car, to be produced in the Camacari-based plant (Bahia). The operation will involve 140 trucks – 70 from ALL-Delara and 70 from TNT, who hired Transportadora Itapemirim to perform the task.

“A significant volume of shipments within Europe will move from air to road,” said Miros³aw Gral, international manager of Messenger Service Stolica, a Warsaw-based courier that works with the global network of U.S.-based Airborne Express.
