Giraud acquires Spanish haulier

France’s Giraud International has acquired Spanish road transporter Caballol.
Based in Manresa, near Barcelona, Caballol has a turnover of €4.5m and employs around 50 staff. It has a fleet of 45 vehicles and a 7,500sq metre warehouse.
Giraud already has six bases in Spain where it operates its own fleet of more than 500 vehicles.
Giraud is also to open a 61,000sq metre traffic hub at Santeny, in the Paris suburbs, at the beginning of next month.
The facility will handle a variety of goods, including automotive parts and components, chemicals and multimedia products.
