TNT Express France makes deal with Redcats

TNT Express France, the French unit of TNT Express (the transport division of Dutch postal services group TPG), has reached a commercial partnership deal with Redcats, the French mail order giant. The deal will allow TNT Express France to use Redcats’ parcel delivery network, which includes nearly 3,200 depots, and will increase its coverage in France, where it already has 120 sites.

TNT plans for life without Airborne

TNT Express is confident it can find an alternative US delivery network if its arrangement with Airborne falls through. TNT is not expecting to renew its partnership with Airborne when the contract expires in December 2004, following the acquisition of Airborne by DHL. But group MD Alan Jones said he has contingency plans if it proved impossible to see out the current contract.

TNT revenues grow in Russia

TNT Express delivery service upped its revenues from the Russian market by 40 percent last year and doubled its volumes over the past two years, a company official said Tuesday.

TNT saw growth in all its services in Russia last year, Harro van Graafeiland, the country general manager said at a news conference, without providing exact volumes.
